Hyderabad: Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels has signed a term sheet with Laxmi Nivasam Developers to set up a Four-Star Zone Connect Hotel in Yadagirigutta, Telangana. The 400-luxury suite room hotel will be operated by the Park Hotels.

Rajendra Prasad, chairman, Laxmi Nivasam Developers, told Telangana Today, “We will be launching 140 keys (rooms) as part of the first phase of the project by March 2022. The property will come up at a site, which is 2.4 kms away from the temple, which will emerge as one of the top temples of the world attracting people worldwide. Going forward, we may explore setting up similar hotels in other pilgrimage hubs such as Ayodhya and Madurai in future jointly.”

Laxmi Nivasam Developers, which was involved in villa and plotted development projects in Yadagirigutta will construct this flagship hotel while the Park Hotels will operate the hotel. Talks are also in progress to explore introducing heli-taxi at the temple town, which is expected to witness one lakh people visiting the temple for darshan every day.

Speaking on the ecosystem in the State, Prasad added, “Telangana government has been giving a lot of importance to spirituality and the State will be known for its TS-S Pass (spiritual pass) after March 28, 2022, the way it is known for its TS-iPASS. The State chief minister will be known to the world in the coming days as “13th Alwar” for sure. In this generation Z, no one has contributed to Vaishanava-tattva, as much as our CM has contributed.”

Vikas Ahluwalia, National Head, Zone by The Park, said, “There is a lot of emphasis on religious circuits across India. We were looking for opportunities in Telangana and other States to cater to the needs of the market. Being in the hotels sector since 1967, we will bring our expertise to the project by enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs. Infrastructure creation certainly enhances the footfalls in destinations.”

Under the Zone Connect brand of hotels introduced last year, the hotel at Yadagirigutta will be the seventh property pan-India.
