Hyderabad: Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, on Friday announced that it has received Comprehensive Chest Pain Center Certification from American Heart Association (AHA). The AHA certification recognises hospitals that demonstrate standards in rapid assessment and treatment of chest pain, particularly for acute and life-threatening heart attacks such as STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction), a press release said.

The certification reflects the hospital’s ability to ensure patients experiencing acute cardiac conditions receive timely, life-saving interventions, Dr D P Suresh, incoming volunteer co-chair of the AHA’s International Committee, said.

Dr Imron Subhan, Head, Emergency Medicine, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, said the certification program was developed to identify hospitals that excel in delivering rapid and evidence-based care.

Senior cardiologist, Dr Manoj Agarwal, said that hospital now joins a global network of AHA-certified Chest Pain Centers committed to reducing cardiac mortality and building healthier communities.
