Apollo hosts Arthroplasty Arthroscopy summit to sharpen young surgeons’ skills
Over 250 orthopaedic surgeons, mostly young professionals, attended the 9th Arthroplasty-Arthroscopy Summit 2025 in Hyderabad. Organised by Apollo Hospitals, the event showcased 50+ surgical procedures, with focus on robotics in joint replacements and new cartilage repair techniques

Hyderabad: Over 250 orthopaedic surgeons, mostly comprising young surgeons, participated in the one-day 9th Arthroplasty Arthroscopy Summit 2025, under the aegis of the Telangana Arthroscopy Society, Hyderabad, Twin Cities Orthopaedic Society (TCOS) and Telangana Orthopaedic Surgeons Association.
Organised by Apollo Hospitals, the conference, featuring over 50 orthopaedic procedures and techniques, was designed to guide young orthopaedic surgeons in honing their knowledge and skills, particularly in identifying proper surgical indications and mastering techniques.
Dr N Somashekar Reddy, senior Ortho and Joint Replacement Surgeon, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad, said, “Over the years, our conference has garnered significant support from delegates who value the depth of insight shared here, while also helping students enhance their surgical precision and expertise.”
The summit included new insights into the role of robotics in joint replacements, a groundbreaking single-stage procedure for cartilage lesions in the knee aimed at preventing the onset of arthritis, said Dr Mithin Aachi, Course Director and senior Ortho & Joint Replacement Surgeon, Apollo Hospitals, Secunderabad.
