Hyderabad: The developer beta version of Apple’s next big software update, iOS 26, is now live with a new Liquid Glass design. Regular iPhone users can expect the public release by mid-September.
Although Apple has said that iOS 26 will be launched in the fall, the release pattern of previous software updates—which typically go live just days after the annual Apple event in September—suggests that the tech giant may roll out the update around the same time this year as well.
With the Liquid Glass effect being the highlight of the upgrade, UI refinements and updates to features like Messages, Apple Music and CarPlay are also expected.
Meanwhile, for tech enthusiasts who can’t wait for the full update expected in September, the iOS 26 public beta is likely to be released before the end of this month. Like all beta versions, this one may also come with bugs and performance issues.
