Hyderabad: Apple is getting ready to launch the much-awaited iPhone SE 4, which would end a two-year gap for its budget-friendly lineup. According to reports, the new model might be released as early as next week, with market availability soon after.
Design and Features Upgraded
The iPhone SE 4 is going to be the modernized version of the iPhone, similar to the iPhone 14, with a larger 6.1-inch OLED display, flat edges, and a notch. It will also have a USB-C connection instead of the traditional Lightning port for compatibility with accessories.
The A18 chipset is said to power the iPhone SE 4 from under the hood, which will be the same processor used in the upcoming iPhone 16 series. This would mean that it would allow for Apple Intelligence features, improved performance, and better AI tools such as Genmoji and Writing Tools. There is also said to be a single 48MP rear camera and a 12MP selfie camera on the smartphone.
Pricing and Competition
While the SE series is known for affordability, industry experts predict a slight price hike. With the previous model priced at $429, the SE 4 is expected to be around $500. It will compete with mid-range rivals like Google Pixel 8a and Samsung Galaxy A35 5G.
Launch Details
Sources suggest a low-key online launch, much like Apple’s previous budget launches. Fans are eagerly waiting for Apple’s official confirmation, which is expected to come by February 11, 2025.
