Hyderabad: Arete Hospitals, Gachibowli, in collaboration with Epigeneres, has launched the HrC Test, a non-invasive blood test that claims to screen the risk of cancer even before a tumour forms. With this launch, Arete Hospitals becomes the first and only hospital in Hyderabad to offer the test.
The HrC Test identifies cancer-specific stem cell signals in the blood, potentially flagging malignancies 12 to 18 months before conventional imaging can detect a tumour. The test reportedly offers over 93 percent sensitivity in early-stage detection, according to a press release.
Dr. Vijay Karan Reddy Palkonda, Director of Oncology and Senior Radiation Oncologist at Arete Hospitals, and Dr. Pranathi Kesara, Director of Preventive Health, said, “The future of cancer care lies in early screening, not just cure. This test empowers individuals with the knowledge they need before a diagnosis.”
The launch event was attended by Miss India World Manasa Varanasi, Telugu actor Jayasudha Kapoor, Aman Gurwada, Senior Vice President (Strategy and Operations), Epigeneres Biotech, and other dignitaries.
