Argument over Rs 500 leads to brutal murder in Hyderabad
The police said that a few days earlier, Srinivas had borrowed Rs. 500 from Sai, promising to repay it soon. On Sunday night, the two met on Budvel Road, where Sai asked Srinivas to return the money.
Hyderabad: A row over Rs 500 claimed the life of a labourer at Rajendranagar on Sunday night. The victim, L Sai Kumar (32), a resident of Budvel in Rajendranagar worked as labourer with one Srinivas.
According to the police, a few days ago Srinivas took Rs. 500 from Sai promising to return it to him soon.
On Sunday night, both of them met at Budvel road where Sai asked Srinivas to return the amount.
“An argument took place between Sai and Srinivas over repayment of Rs. 500 and they attacked each other. In a fit of rage, Srinivas picked-up a big stone that was lying on the roadside and hit on Sai’s head, causing severe head injuries. The injured person was rushed to hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival,” said ACP Rajendranagar, T Srinivas.
Later, the Rajendranagar police registered a case and arrested the alleged attacker Srinivas.
