Hyderabad: The South Zone Police on Saturday organised a Mega Job Mela at Chandrayangutta for job aspirants from the old city. A total of 5,000 job aspirants who applied for jobs in various reputed companies attended the job mela.
City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, inaugurating the event, said he was happy that the job mela was being organised on such a large scale in the older part of the city.
“It is gratifying that a total of 20 private companies have come forward to provide 2,000 job opportunities to the youth,” he said, pointing out that so far, over 4,000 youth had applied for jobs. At least 1,000 of them would be employed on Saturday itself, he said, adding that job melas were being organised on behalf of the Hyderabad City Police in all zones across the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate.
“So, the youth should take advantage of this opportunity. I want Hyderabad to stand as an ideal for the youth of the country. Over the last three years, the Hyderabad City Police has provided job opportunities to 21,000 young people,” Anjani Kumar said, adding that a Job Mela exclusively for women was also organized by the Women Police Station in South Zone.
