Arrangements in place for Bathukamma saree distribution in Hyderabad
MLAs, MPs, local corporators along with other elected public representatives will be distributing the sarees in respective divisions duly following the covid guidelines.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has made all arrangements for distribution of Bathukamma sarees in the city from Friday onwards.

The sarees will be distributed till October 14 and special officers have been appointed to monitor the distribution. In GHMC limits, over 15.38 lakh Bathukamma sarees are to be distributed and they have already been dispatched to the 30 municipal circles.
The sarees will be distributed as per fair price shop limits and the eligible women will be handed over coupons in advance to avoid any gatherings or crowd at the 993 distribution points.
Meanwhile, in Ranga Reddy district, officials have commenced the distribution of sarees on Thursday. In the district, over 6.76 lakh sarees are to be distributed, officials informed.
