Hyderabad: All required measures have been taken to ensure the devotees do not face any difficulties during Shobha Yatra for Ganesh idol immersions in the city on September 17, said the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner, Amrapali Kata.

A team comprising officials from all related departments has been formed to ensure that road repairs are completed, street lighting is in place and tree trimming is done from pandals to the water bodies for the idol immersions, she said.

For smooth immersion, baby ponds and portable ponds have also been made available in nearby locations for the devotees. Electricity, drinking water sanitation and required men and machine have been deployed, the GHMC Commissioner added.
