Nalgonda: Arrangements for the election to Nalgonda Local Authorities Constituency for Legislative Council have been completed and polling would be held at eight polling stations in erstwhile Nalgonda district on Friday.

The polling staff collected the election related material from the distribution centres on Thursday and reached the allocated polling stations. Polling would be conducted from 8 am to 4 pm with two polling stations in Yadadri-Bhongir district and three polling stations each in Nalgonda and Suryapet districts. In Yadadri-Bhongir district, a total of 303 electors would exercise their franchise at the polling stations in Government Junior College for Boys at Bhongir and Zilla Parishad High school at Choutuppal.


In Nalgonda district, 566 electors would exercise their franchise at the polling stations in Government Junior College for girls at Nalgonda, MPDO office at Devarakonda and Zilla Parishad High School at Miryalaguda.

In Suryapet district, 402 electors would participate in the polling at Government High School at Huzurnagar, Zilla Parishad high School, Kodad and MPDO office at Suryapet. Total electors of the LAC was 1,271.

Assistant Returning Officer and Additional District Collector V Chandrasekhar said that all the arrangements were completed for LAC elections. Stating that the polling would be conducted with ballot papers, he said that electronic gadgets would not be allowed into the polling stations. After completion of the polling, the ballot boxes would be shifted to a strong room in Mahila Praganam. Counting of the votes would be taken up on December 14.
