Mancherial: Arrangements are in place for smooth conduct of annual examinations of Intermediate course across erstwhile Adilabad district beginning from Wednesday to March 20 between 9 am and 12 am.

Officials said that 56,215 students belonging to Intermediate first, second year and vocational courses will appear for examinations in four districts such as Adilabad, Nirmal, Mancherial and Kumram Bheem Asifabad, while 96 centres were created. Basic amenities including drinking water, electricity, fans, furniture, etc., were arranged.

The officials stated that special buses would be operated for the convenience of rural students in Adilabad district, as per instructions of Collector Rajarshi Shah. Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) was imposed at the centres, while xerox centres remained closed. Steps were taken to prevent copying.

The students were advised to arrive at the venues 30 minutes in advance. Wearing of electronic gadgets, watches and carrying mobile phones were prohibited. Managements of private colleges were instructed not to harass the students by denying hall-tickets. Students would receive one-time passwords on their parents’ mobile phones enabling them to download hall-tickets.

Medical camps were formed at the venues to tackle medical emergencies. The centres were under surveillance of CCTV cameras to check wrongdoings by students and invigilators.
