Hyderabad: Universities worldwide are constantly adding innovative courses to their curriculum that can ensure the employability of the students. One such field of education is Artificial intelligence (AI).

The AI revolution has reshaped our lives and the way we work. From self-driving cars, robotic assistants, and automated disease diagnosis, AI has contributed some of the most significant innovations in the last few years. As a result, several students have started to show more inclination towards this fairly new aspect of engineering.

Realising that AI is one of the fastest-growing and most transformational technologies of our time, many reputed national and international universities have been offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the subject.

Keeping pace with the changing world, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, has also introduced new AI courses for their engineering students, which are paired with cyber security, machine learning and data science.

Several AI undergraduate courses are mainly available for engineering students. B Tech in Artificial Intelligence and M Tech in Artificial Intelligence mainly provide education related to the field in India. However, students can secure admissions to certificates and diplomas in AI even after successfully finishing the 10th standard. Interestingly, those who have completed their graduation and want to learn AI to advance their career can also find several short-term courses available online being offered by many universities as well as top software companies.

Although AI has high learning for motivated students, the rewards of an AI career far outweigh the investment of time and energy. With the demand for talented engineers more than doubling in the last few years, there are limitless opportunities for those who want to work on AI research and development. It is being used in many industries across the globe, such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing and many more. Moreover, it also has multiple branches for different needs, such as deep learning, image processing, natural language processing, neural networks and machine learning.
