Arundhati Reddy back in Indian team

The BCCI Women’s Selection Committee picked India’s squad for the tournament which will be played in Sri Lanka with the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo will host all the matches

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad pacer Arundhati Reddy makes a comeback to the Indian team to be led by Harmanpreet Kaur in the tri-nation ODI cricket tournament against Sri Lanka and South Africa in Sri Lanka from April 27.

The 27-year-old pacer from the City, who returned an impressive spell of 10-2-26-4 the last time she played for India in an ODI against Australia in Perth in December 2024, was not in the scheme of things of the Indian team selection for reasons not known.


The BCCI Women’s Selection Committee picked India’s squad for the tournament which will be played in Sri Lanka with the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo will host all the matches.

The series kick starts on April 27th when Sri Lanka take on India. India will then face South Africa on April 29th. India’s next two matches will be on May 4th and May 7th against Sri Lanka and South Africa respectively.

India’s squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Pratika Rawal, Harleen Deol, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh (WK), Yastika Bhatia (WK), Deepti Sharma, Amanjot Kaur, Kashvee Gautam, Sneh Rana, Arundhati Reddy, Tejal Hasabnis, Sree Charani, and Shuchi Upadhyay. Renuka Singh Thakur and Titas Sadhu are injured and were not considered for the selection.

The schedule (all matches in Colombo):

April 27 – India vs Sri Lanka
April 29 – India vs South Africa
May 4 – India vs Sri Lanka
May 7 – India vs South Africa
