Arvind dissatisfied over BJP’s performance in Greater Hyderabad region in Assembly Elections
The BJP could manage to get just eight seats out of 119 during the last assembly elections, he said, adding that there was a need to look into the reason behind people not voting for the party in assembly elections
Nizamabad: Expressing dissatisfaction over the performance of the BJP during the last assembly elections in Greater Hyderabad region, Nizamabad BJP MP Dharmapuri Arvind said the party State leadership needed to analyse the poor performance of the party in the State capital.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Arvind said the BJP won 48 seats in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation(GHMC) and eight in Lok Sabha polls but it could win just one out of the 29 seats in Greater Hyderabad region in Assembly Elections, which was a matter of concern. ” We talk about coming to power in the State, but cannot win seats in Hyderabad, where the party has a good support base. We need to seriously look into it,”he said.
The BJP could manage to get just eight seats out of 119 during the last assembly elections, he said, adding that there was a need to look into the reason behind people not voting for the party in assembly elections. “Why are people not voting for BJP in assembly elections? Who is responsible? BJP should think about these issues,”he said.
