Hyderabad: Arzooo, a B2B retail technology platform, is disrupting the electronics retail market, by transforming traditional small and medium stores into modern stores. The company is focusing on creating solutions that will help retailers enhance their customer acquisition.
The company through its ‘Go Store’ platform serves over 20,000 retail stores pan-India. It has about 100 offline retailers using the platform in Hyderabad so far and also has made inroads into Warangal and other major cities of Telangana.
The technology platform helps stores to purchase electronics at the best price and equips them with a variety of products without having to invest in inventory. In a sector dominated by e-retailers such as Amazon and Flipkart, Arzooo is helping small electronic shops to scale their business. It also provides payment solutions to drive up sales conversion in-store.
Khushnud Khan, co-founder & CEO, Arzooo, Telangana Today, “We started Arzoo with a single mission of taking the best of e-commerce technology to offline stores and bring each of the stores to the same pedestal of Amazon and Flipkart. We offer digital inventory solutions to offline retailers and give them access to similar pricing and selection of products to their customers. We are clocking Rs 1,200 crore in sales and are present in over 20 States.”
“We also noticed that these stores often struggle due to capital inadequacy. We have rolled out a fintech product 3-4 months back called Arzooo credit, to back them with the required working capital,” he added.
Retail is usually limited by physical space and capital and Arzooo solves these problems. Even if a store does not have enough space, the platform provides digital space, helps manage large inventory, giving bargaining power to retailers and enabling them to even up-sell and cross-sell. All this enables more real-time transactions for offline retailers.
He added, “Not only in cities, now even retailers in tier-3 and tier-4 cities are embracing technology. We have our team available to handle queries of the retailers to make their transactions seamless. We have made the platform so that it is suitable for use on a desktop or a smartphone. Currently we are focusing on electronics, and soon we are going to enter into other product categories.”
The company which has raised Rs 100 crore so far is also exploring acquisition opportunities, particularly in the fintech space..
