Hyderabad: Ashray Akruti, an NGO, is all set to host Signathon 2.0, a unique initiative that combines fitness, awareness, and inclusion under one banner, at Gachibowli Stadium here on Saturday
Titled “Run to Learn, Sign and Shine,” the event aims to make silence heard and spread the importance of Indian Sign Language (ISL), encouraging everyone to learn and use it to build an inclusive society, a press release said.
The event will feature 10K, 5K, and 2K runs, open to participants from all walks of life. The marathon is expected to draw over 1,500 participants, including corporate teams, donors, volunteers, students from both mainstream and special schools and colleges, and members of the general public, it said.

A basic Indian sign language workshop will also be conducted to help participants connect and communicate better with individuals who have hearing impairments, it added.
