ASI dies of Covid in Karimnagar

On March 16, Yadagiri was shifted to Gandhi hospital, Hyderabad, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Wednesday afternoon.

Karimnagar: Assistant Sub-Inspector, Veenavanka, Gadarla Yadagiri (56) died of Covid-19 on Wednesday.

A native of Peddapalli, Yadagiri has been working as ASI in Veenavanka police station for the last one and half year. He was on duty at Vemulawada during Maha Shivaratri jatara from March 8 to 12.

After returning to Peddapalli, he developed respiratory problem. On March 13, he went to Apollo hospital in Karimnagar town and gave samples for Covid test. He was tested positive for the virus on March 15.

On March 16, Yadagiri was shifted to Gandhi hospital, Hyderabad, where he breathed his last while undergoing treatment on Wednesday afternoon.
