Nalgonda: Officials of Hyderabad Circle of Archeological Survey of India on Monday visited ancient Surya temple at Akaram of Shaligowraram mandal in Nalgonda district. The team of officials of ASI comprised of Superintendent of Archeology Dr Smitha S Kumar, Assistant Archeologist Dr Rohini Pande and Conservation Assistant M Naveen Kumar examined the ancient temple, which was reached in dilapidated condition. They also examined the sculptures and stone inscriptions, which were located near the temple. Dr Smitha S Kumar told they were visiting the temple following the directions from the office of the Union Minister of Tourism. They would also submit a report to the Director General of ASI based on their study during the visit to the temple.
