Asiatic lioness, crocodile adopted at Nehru zoo
Tina Naveen Jain adopted the Asiatic lioness named Devasena for a period of three months making a payment of Rs 25,000.

Hyderabad: An Asiatic lioness and a crocodile at the Nehru Zoological Park have been adopted for a period of three months.
According to zoo authorities, Tina Naveen Jain adopted the Asiatic lioness named Devasena for a period of three months making a payment of Rs 25,000. Her daughter, Havisha Naveen Jain, aged 10 years, adopted a crocodile for a period of three months and donated Rs 5,000 from her piggy bank savings.

The zoo authorities said that citizens interested in adopting animals at the zoo could contact Ph 040-24477355 or message through WhatsApp on 9440810182. Zoo curator, Subhadra Devi, thanked Tina Naveen Jain and Havisha Naveen Jain for their gesture and interest in adopting a lioness and cocodile at zoo.
She said 108 participants took part in the online painting competition conducted on Tuesday as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebration.
