Asifabad: 58-year-old farmer killed by lightning
A 58-year-old tribal farmer, Kudimetha Shankar, died after being struck by lightning while preparing his field in Pardi village, Koutala mandal. He was rushed to a hospital but was declared brought dead. He is survived by his wife and four children
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A 58-year-old tribal farmer was killed after being struck by lightning while working in his field at Pardi village in Koutala mandal on Wednesday.
Police said the farmer, Kudimetha Shankar, fell unconscious after the lightning strike and was rushed to a hospital at the Koutala mandal headquarters. However, doctors declared him brought dead.
Shankar was preparing his field for transplanting paddy seedlings when the incident occurred.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and a daughter.
