Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Minimum temperatures of both Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Adilabad districts continued to plummet to further low for the second day on Friday.
According to a weather report published on Telangana State Development Society’s website, Ginnedhari village in Tiryani and Sirpur (U) mandal centre recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius each in Telangana.
Kerameri mandal witnessed minimum temperature of 9.3 degrees C. Wankidi, Kagahzanagar, Rebbena, Chintalamanepalli, Sirpur (T), Dahegaon, Bejjur and Asifabad mandals saw the minimum temperature somewhere between 10 degrees C and 12. 5 degrees C.
Meanwhile, Bela mandal headquarters shivered at 7.1 degrees C. Arli (T) village in Bheempur mandal experienced a minimum temperature of 7.2 degrees. Jainad, Mavala, Talamadagu, Boath, Neradigonda, Adilabad Rural, Tamasi, Talamadugu, Gadiguda mandals witnessed below 10 degrees C.
Following the freezing weather conditions, people from all walks of life, particularly the elderly and children, had to keep themselves warm with sweaters and bonfires. They did not venture outdoors until 8 am. Motorists faced problems on NH 44 due to fog.
