Kumram Bheem Asifabad gets surplus rainfall, Adilabad faces 24 pc deficit
Parts of Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Adilabad districts received light to moderate rainfall on Sunday. Asifabad recorded 789 mm against normal rainfall of 775 mm, while Adilabad received 570 mm against 753 mm, leaving the district with a 24 per cent deficit.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad/Adilabad: Parts of both Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Adilabad districts registered light and moderate rains on Sunday.
The average rainfall of Kumram Bheem Asifabad district was gauged to be 29.8 mm, while Sirpur (T) mandal saw the highest rainfall by 55.8 mm. Koutala, Kerameri and Wankidi mandals recorded more than 40 mm of rainfall. The actual rainfall of the district was 789 mm as against the normal rainfall of 775 mm from June 1 to August 22.
In the meantime, Adilabad district’s average rainfall was 18.5 mm with Bela mandal seeing the highest rainfall by 35.2 mm. The actual rainfall of the district was gauged to be 570 mm when compared to the normal rainfall of 753, reflecting a deficit by 24 percent in this year so far. Except for eight mandals, 13 mandals were still reeling under deficient rainfall.
