Kumram Bheem Asifabad/Adilabad: Parts of both Kumram Bheem Asifabad and Adilabad districts saw a considerable dip in minimum temperatures on Tuesday.

Ginnedhari village in Tiryani Sirpur (U) mandal centre recorded the lowest minimum temperature at 6 degrees Celsius in Telangana. Sirpur (U) mandal centre 6.3 degrees C. While Kerameri mandal headquarters recorded a minimum temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius.


Wankidi and Chintalamanepalli mandals registered below 10 degrees C. Kagaznagar, Sirpur (T), Rebbena, Bejjur, Asifabad, Dahegaon,and Penchikalpet mandals saw anywhere between 10 degrees C and 12 degrees C.

Meanwhile, Bela mandal headquarters experienced a minimum temperature of 7.8 degrees C, followed by Bheempur mandal, which witnessed a minimum temperature of 7.9 degrees C.

The minimum temperature of Jainad, Mavala, Boath, Adilabad Rural, and Talamadugu was gauged to be below 10 degrees C. Tamsi, Gadiguda, Sirikonda, Utnoor, Boath, Indervelli, mandal, Bhoraj in Jainad, Talamadugu, Adilabad Urban, Wankidi, Asifabad, Kagaznagar and Neradigonda mandal experienced minimum temperatures ranging between 10 degrees C and 12 degrees C.

Following chilly weather conditions, people from all walks of life, in particular the elderly and children had to keep their bodies warm using woolen sweaters and making bonfires with the help of timber logs. They did not venture outdoors until 8 am. Motorists faced problems on NH 44 due to fog enveloped roads.
