Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Collector Venkatesh Dothre was transferred and was replaced by K Haritha. An order to this effect was issued by Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao on Saturday evening.
The 2013 batch IAS officer, Venkatesh was posted as Collector of the district on March 4, 2024. He was instrumental in Tiryani mandal getting selected for Aspiration Blocks Programme under Sampoornatha Abhiyan. He helped the district achieve a silver medal from the Union government for effectively implementing key indicators of the initiative. He, however, drew criticism for failing to take action against certain corrupt officials.
A 2013 batch IAS officer, Haritha, who was working as a special secretary with the State Finance department, was transferred and posted as the Collector. Incidentally, the district is being administered by female bureaucrats. Nitika Pant has recently been posted as Superintendent of Police, while IAS officer Shraddha Shukla has been Kagaznagar Sub-Collector.
