Asifabad continues to see moderate rains for third day

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: The district continued to witness light to moderate rainfall for the third consecutive day on Friday.
According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the district’s average rainfall was recorded at 35.3 mm, with Koutala mandal receiving the highest at 83.9 mm. Chintalamanepalli mandal saw 75 mm, while Bejjur and Sirpur (T) mandals registered 65 mm and 52.4 mm respectively.
From June 1 to July 25, the district recorded 543 mm of actual rainfall against the normal of 480 mm, indicating a 13 per cent deviation. Swollen hill streams have disrupted connectivity to several villages in Chintalamanepalli, Koutala, Bejjur and Dahegaon mandals. Farmers reported damage to standing cotton crop due to the rainfall.
