Adilabad: Asifabad MLA Kova Laxmi demanded that the government suspend officials who were not following protocol in construction of double-bed room houses. She along with cadres of BRS staged a sit-in in front of Integrated District Officers Complex (IDOC) in Asifabad on Friday.

Speaking at the protest site, Laxmi alleged that the officials were insulting the local MLA by allowing those who do not hold any political position to hand over ownership documents to eligible beneficiaries. She wanted the government to initiate action against Rebbena MPDO and Tiryani housing assistant engineer for showing negligence in following the protocol.

She announced that the stir would be intensified if action was not taken against the errant officials. She said that she would continue the protest until she received a copy of suspension of the officials who failed to follow the protocol. She regretted that the officials were becoming puppets of ruling the party and were ignoring public representatives from the Opposition party.
