Asifabad: Youngsters attempt suicide fearing objection to their love
Elders rejected plans of the youngsters to get married as the girl was a minor.
Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A tribal youngster and a minor girl, who fell in love with each other attempted to end their lives by consuming pesticide as they were depressed after their elders turned down their wish to enter into a wedlock at Pangidimadara village in Tiryani mandal on Saturday evening. Medical condition of the girl is learnt to be critical.
Sources said that, Athram Venkatesh, 20- year-old of Pangidimadara and the 15-year-old minor girl from the same village were in love with each other. Elders rejected plans of the youngsters to get married as the girl was a minor.
Venkatesh and the girl jointly attempted to end their lives by taking some pesticide in the forests on the outskirts of their village and later informed their relatives about their act. They were rushed to a hospital in Mancherial town and the condition of the girl is said to be critical.
