ASME to host IMECE in Hyderabad for the first time

Hyderabad: The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will host its flagship event, the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE), in India for the very first time. The event is scheduled to take place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) from September 10 to 13, 2025.
Traditionally organised in the United States, IMECE brings together thought leaders, researchers, industry professionals, policymakers and students from around the world to explore breakthroughs in science, technology and innovation.
The inaugural IMECE India 2025 edition will feature more than 650 research papers and technical presentations, 1,500 delegates and 100 exhibitors. The event aims to advance engineering knowledge, strengthen academia–industry collaboration and accelerate innovative solutions to address global challenges.
The theme of IMECE India 2025 is sustainability, innovation and inclusivity. The discussions will cover a wide range of topics, from cutting-edge technologies and advanced manufacturing processes to the integration of AI and robotics in mechanical systems, sustainable design practices and the role of mechanical engineering in addressing global societal challenges.
