Hyderabad: The athletes of the SAI-Gopichand-Mytrah Athletics Project continue to win medals in the junior National Athletics championship in Guwahati.
On Wednesday, J Deepthi of Telangana bagged a silver medal in the girls’ under-18 200 metres event. She clocked 0:24.67, coming behind the gold medallist Sudeshna Hanmant Shivankar (Maharashtra). She won in 24.65s. The bronze went to Karnataka’s Priya Habbathanahhal Moha.
Srinivas, who represents Andhra Pradesh but trains at Gachibowli Stadium here under Gopichand-Mytrah project, took the bronze in the under-20 boys 200 metres event. He won in 21.60s with Abhin B Devadiga (Karnataka) and Ritik Malik taking the gold and silver medals respectively.
