Nizamabad: From battery-operated vehicles to luxurious Mercedes Benz cars, the Auto Show organised by Namasthe Telangana and Telangana Today, is presenting wide variety of automobiles under one roof at the Collectorate Grounds here.

The show was formally inaugurated by Nizamabad Additional Collector B Chandrashekhar, Transport Department Deputy Commissioner K Venkata Ramana and Namasthe Telangana General Manager (Advertisement) Surender Rao here on Friday.

The show is open to all for the next two days.

On day one, the show evoked a good response from visitors as many turned up at the venue to check out different automobiles. Nizamabad Zilla Parishad Chairman D Vittal Rao took a battery-operated vehicle for a test drive. Many visitors keenly observed the battery-operated two-wheelers, besides seeking their specifications details.

“It is a good sign that battery-operated vehicles are now making their way into Nizamabad,” said Vittal Rao.

The show hosts a different range of automobiles, brands and variants at the venue. Right from Maruti Alto, which costs about Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom price) to Mercedes Benz, which costs about Rs.72 lakh, many automobiles are being showcased as part of the show.

Maruti Suzuki, Nissan, Honda, Tata Motors, Hyundai, MG, Mercedes, Kia, Skoda, Mahindra and other popular companies’ cars are being displayed at the venue. Under the two-wheeler segments too, visitors have multiple choices as Hero, Yamaha, Aprilia, Honda, Benelli, Hero Electric and BGuass Bikes are on display.

To make things convenient for visitors and customers, organisers have also arranged instant loan facility with four banks, including State Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Canara Bank and Punjab National Bank participating in the auto show. Banks’ representatives will share all the details pertaining to loans, interest rates and other aspects with the visitors.

Nizamabad Additional Collector B Chandrashekhar said earlier auto shows were confined to Hyderabad and organizing an auto show here was welcomed. Many people, who aspire to buy different automobiles travel long distances to check the latest arrivals and best variants. This auto show will help such people in finalizing their dream vehicle, he said.

Transport department Deputy Commissioner K Venkata Ramana said the move to display battery-operated vehicles was commendable and people have lots of choices to select from a wide range of vehicles.
