AvaniXplore hosts AI-powered mineral exploration webinar

AvaniXplore LLP and partners hosted a webinar in Hyderabad highlighting how AI and ML are transforming mineral exploration. Dr. Satyanarayana Yegireddi explained the use of advanced AI techniques for prospectivity mapping, attracting over 160 participants from India and abroad.

Hyderabad: AvaniXplore LLP, in collaboration with Earth Scholar Professional Academy, Mind Spark Learning Hub, and Earth Scholars Hub, recently organized a webinar on “From Data to Discovery: AI-Powered Mineral Prospectivity Mapping”.

The webinar addressed significant technological transformations taking place in the mineral exploration industry. It highlighted how AI and ML are revolutionizing mineral exploration through data-driven prospectivity mapping and predictive analytics.


Delivering a keynote address, Dr. Satyanarayana Yegireddi, an eminent geophysicist, former Scientist ‘G’ and Associate Director, CHESS–DRDO, shared insights into AI-assisted mineral prospectivity mapping, predictive modelling, explainable AI, data integration, and modern exploration workflows.

He demonstrated how advanced AI techniques—including Random Forest, XGBoost, Deep Learning, and Convolutional Neural Networks—are enabling faster, more reliable, and cost-effective identification of prospective mineral targets.

The webinar had over 160 participants from across India. It also attracted participants from the United States, Canada, Sri Lanka, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates.
