Hyderabad: Animals Water Bowl Project (AWBP) Trust is organising competitions in artwork, essay writing and poetry to create awareness on adopting homeless animals in the community, to teach compassion towards every creature, and effects of pollutions on humans and other species.
The competition PAW-2021 is open for all age groups, above 8 years, offering participants an opportunity to exhibit their creative skills in any of the three languages – Telugu, Hindi and English. There is no entry fee for participation, said AWBP Trust founder Lakshman Molleti in a press release. The competitions are being organised in memory of his pet dog Raju.
Every citizen should take accountability and responsibility in protecting animal welfare and rights (sustainable development goal) for the betterment of humans, the environment and animals, he said.
The competitions are being supported by Peta India, Stray Animal Foundation of India, EEVA Patent, Revelec AutomotiEV, Ewoke Vegan cafe, Bhartiya Rajnitik Vikalp Party, Vijay Sweets, Emkay Vegan Food Products, Vvegano, Aninv, Vegan India Movement and Voiceless India.
