Hyderabad: A B.Tech student died allegedly after accidentally falling from a multi-storey building in Sanathnagar on Thursday night.
Deepika Chaudhary (18), a B.Tech first-year student of a private college in Bowrampet, lived with her family on the tenth floor of an apartment complex in Sanathnagar.
On Thursday around 11 pm, she fell off from the balcony on the tenth floor, suffered multiple grievous injuries and died on the spot.
The Sanathnagar police are investigating the incident. They are probing all possible angles including suicide and homicide.
Man gets life imprisonment for raping 7-year-old girl
Hyderabad: A local court on Friday sentenced a man to life imprisonment in the rape case of a seven-year-old girl reported in Karkhana in 2024.
Gowtham Rajbangshi (45), a gardener from Bowenpally and a native of West Bengal, while working at a colony park, took the child to a secluded spot in the park and sexually assaulted her.
Based on a complaint from her family, the Karkhana police booked a case and arrested Gowtham. Investigation revealed that he had also assaulted a nine-year-old girl in the past.
