Hyderabad: An 18-month-old baby girl was reportedly kidnapped from Niloufer Hospital here on Wednesday.

According to the police, the child had gone along with her mother to the hospital from Shahbad mandal in Vikarabad district.

“The mother was pregnant and went to consult a doctor leaving the child outside. When she came back, the girl was missing,” Nampally Inspector Khaleel Pasha said.

The police suspect a woman who was in the hospital might have kidnapped the child and are trying to trace her. It is learned the woman was tracked to Narsingi.

Three special teams were formed to rescue the child.
