Mancherial: Bajaj Finance organised its financial literacy programme, ‘Arthsutra Samvad’, at Peddanapalli and Devapur villages in Kasipet mandal on Thursday. Kalvala Sharath Kumar, Peddanapalli Sarpanch, was the chief guest, while Kasipet SI Anjaneyulu was the guest of honour.

Representatives said that the initiative was part of Bajaj Finance’s nationwide financial literacy programme aimed at promoting financial inclusion in rural and underbanked areas. Conducted under the Reserve Bank of India’s financial literacy initiative, the programme focused on creating awareness about financial discipline, responsible money management, digital financial safety and protection against financial fraud.

Bajaj Finance representatives created awareness about the importance of savings, budgeting, responsible borrowing, timely loan repayment and safe digital financial practices among villagers, especially women and youth. They advised participants to remain alert against cyber fraud, fake investment schemes, suspicious links, APK files, WhatsApp scams and digital arrest frauds. They asked the villagers to immediately report cyber fraud by calling the National Cyber Crime Helpline at 1930.
