Balanagar Police crack chef’s murder, one arrested
Following, technical investigation and eyewitness accounts, police tracked down and arrested Ajay and a knife used in the crime was recovered

Hyderabad: The Balanagar Police swiftly solved a murder case within hours of the crime, arresting Sidhapuram Ajay (24), a resident of Balanagar, in connection with the killing of Mohd Gafoor (39), a chef from Vattepally, which was reported on Monday.
During the investigation, police established that Gafoor and his friend were sitting near the foot over bridge at Gudenmet ‘X’ Road in Balanagar on Monday evening.
“After consuming alcohol, a quarrel broke out with Ajay, who was seated nearby. The altercation turned violent after Gafoor allegedly kicked Ajay. In retaliation, Ajay attacked him with a fruit-cutting knife, stabbing him repeatedly in the chest, neck, and shoulder, leading to his death on the spot,” said a senior police official.
Following, technical investigation and eyewitness accounts, police tracked down and arrested Ajay and a knife used in the crime was recovered from nearby bushes, where it was thrown.
Police said that further investigation was on to verify the background of the suspect and the sequence of events leading to the murder.
