Balka Suman takes Revanth Reddy to task
Suman said Revanth had rushed to make new allegations after CM K Chandrashekhar Rao ordered a probe into the land grab allegations following complaints from the villagers of Devaryamjal
Hyderabad: Government Whip and Chennur MLA Balka Suman lashed out at TPCC working president and Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy for making baseless allegations against TRS leaders and Namasthe Telangana newspaper over encroachment of lands in Devaryamjal in Shamirpet mandal of Medchal Malkajgiri district.
Suman said Revanth had rushed to make new allegations after Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ordered a probe into the land grab allegations following complaints from the villagers of Devaryamjal. In a tongue-in-cheek remark, Suman assured Revanth that all the irregularities would be unearthed during the investigation and necessary action would be initiated against those involved.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here on Monday, Suman said the TRS welcomes the Chief Minister’s decision to probe into the complaints over the Devaryamjal lands. He said a Committee of Officers was formed by the Chief Minister for the purpose and exuded confidence that the committee would submit a detailed report to the State government on the issue.
“Rather than welcoming the government’s decision to probe into the allegations over Devaryamjal lands, Revanth rushed to make fresh allegations in an attempt to gain political mileage. He dragged the names of a few individuals and organisations, including Namasthe Telangana newspaper, which has been the voice of the Telangana people during the Statehood movement. If there are any irregularities committed by the newspaper, the details will be unearthed during the investigation,” he added.
Suman termed Revanth as a known criminal and land grabber, who always indulges in mudslinging at the TRS and its leaders. He wondered whether Revanth or his benamis had any property in the Devaryamjal area and thus, the latter was trying to divert the attention.
