Sangareddy: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B Mahesh Kumar Goud‘s lack of knowledge on the Banakacherla project was exposed during the party’s ‘padayatra’ in Andole constituency on Friday.

While Andhra Pradesh’s proposed Banakacherla project has not yet received a nod from the Centre, Mahesh Kumar Goud said that the AP government had already built the project due to the negligence of former minister T Harish Rao.

He alleged that Telangana lost its share of river water after former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and Harish Rao accepted the neighbouring State’s proposal. He said that AP Minister Nara Lokesh had also hailed Chandrashekhar Rao for accepting the proposal.

Senior Congress leaders including party State in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan shared the stage but did not intervene or correct the statement.
