Hyderabad: Stressing that Supreme Court directives clearly bar deforestation without the Centre’s approval, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay demanded Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to immediately withdraw the decision to auction 400 acres at Kancha Gachibowli, failing which the people would teach the Congress government a lesson.
He also said the 400 acres planned for auction by the State government falls under forest limits.
“The land is under High Court litigation and the Court ordered the State government to file a counter by April 7. Yet, the government is defying the Court, bulldozing trees and destroying the environment,” Bandi Sanjay said on X.
Kancha Gachibowli land sale is peak opportunism by Congress govt.

Stating that the Kancha Gachibowli land sale was peak opportunism by the Congress government, he asked whether Revanth Reddy himself had once opposed such land sales.
“Future City for the rich, lathis for the future generations- is this the Congress model?” he asked.
