Hyderabad: State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Wednesday requested Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to convene an all-party meeting with student unions and political parties to discuss the job vacancies and unemployment dole even as he covered 200 kms of his ‘Praja Sangrama Yatra’.

Sanjay’s yatra started from Sri Bhagya Lakshmi temple at Charminar last month.
In an open letter to the Chief Minister, Sanjay urged the State government to immediately reinstate the 7,651 field assistants sacked by it. The BJP chief said the party will stage a protest in a peaceful and democratic process against the government if it fails to fill the vacant posts. He demanded that the Chief Minister release a white paper on vacant posts in various government departments.

Sanjay said that unemployed youth were eagerly waiting for the employment notification since new districts, revenue divisions, mandals, gram panchayats, municipalities and corporations have been carved out.

A day after covering 200 kms yatra on Tuesday, Sanjay started it from Shalipet village in Haveli Ganapur mandal in Medak district on the 19th day of his yatra on Wednesday. A large number of party activists welcomed him when his yatra entered the villages.

On Thursday, Sanjay’s yatra will start from Banjara Thanda in the district.
