Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay stirred a row on Monday by stating that the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) would attack Telangana Bhavan if Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) workers attempted to attack the ABN Andhra Jyothi office.

Speaking to media persons, Bandi Sanjay said BJP State president N Ramchander Rao had already directed BJYM to retaliate within two hours if there was any attack on the media office. “I am also challenging the BRS cadre to arrive at the spot, and our party workers will also arrive,” he said.

The war of words began after the BRS strongly objected to a report published in the Andhra Jyothi newspaper. In response, BJP State president N Ramchander Rao warned of serious consequences if any attempt was made to attack the ABN Andhra Jyothi office.

He instructed BJYM workers to ensure security at the vernacular media office and warned that the T News channel, linked to the BRS, would meet a similar fate if violence broke out.

Ramchander Rao also criticised what he called the Congress government’s double standards in demolishing houses along the Musi river. He said poor and middle-class families had constructed homes with their hard-earned money, but these were being demolished, while buildings constructed by AIMIM Floor Leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on lakebeds were being spared.
