Karimnagar: The Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay Kumar threatened to place garbage bins, carcasses of dogs and other animals in front of Congress leaders’ residences if the state government failed to take back its decision to establish a dumping yard near Sirsapalli of Huzurabad mandal.
Congress leaders would be made to realise how dangerous the smell of garbage was, he said and warned that the ruling party leaders would not be allowed to move on the roads.
The Union minister participated in the BJP’s Praja Andolana programme organized against the proposed dumping yard in Huzurabad on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Kumar said that it was ridiculous to establish a dumping yard beside the national highway. He was the first person who opposed the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s decision to set up a dumping yard near Huzurabad.
Local people would be exposed to various health problems. Moreover, groundwater would be polluted. So, they have decided to intensify agitation. Besides continuing agitation, human rights, SC, ST, BC commissions would also be approached, Union minister informed.
