Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar will distribute 20,000 bicycles to Class X students studying in government schools across his Karimnagar parliamentary constituency under a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The Minister will formally launch the distribution programme at Ambedkar Stadium in Karimnagar town on Wednesday. As part of the launch, students from all government high schools in the town will receive bicycles.
The initiative, described as a gift from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to benefit students by easing their commute to school. Sanjay Kumar has arranged for branded bicycles to be distributed in phases throughout the Karimnagar Lok Sabha segment.
