Hyderabad: ‘Bangarraju’, the hit combination under father-son duo Nagarjuna Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya is cruising ahead at the box office currently. The festive mood Sankranti pushed the wholesome family entertainer to cross Rs 53 crore in just three days after its release.
Nagarjuna played the titular role of ‘Bangarraju’ while his son Naga Chaitanya played Chinni Bangarraju in the film. Promoted as the Sankranti film, ‘Bangarraju’ lived up to the expectations of fans while it raked in recollections. According to the trade circles, the film will enjoy a smooth run for a few days since there is no other competitor in theatres. Directed by Kalyan Krishna, the film features Krithi Shetty, Ramya Krishna.
Akhil Akkineni congratulated the entire team on Monday with a tweet. “I’m a proud son and a proud brother! Sankranthi is truly your team #Bangarraaju congratulations! Thank you to our director @kalyankrishna_k for giving us yet another blockbuster(sic).”
