Bank of Baroda wins prestigious ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar’ for the fifth consecutive year

Bank of Baroda has received the second prize under the Government of India’s Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar Scheme for 2025–26. The bank was recognised for its Official Language implementation and has won the prestigious award for five consecutive years

The award falls under the Headquarters category for nationalised banks and financial institutions with over 800 employees, recognizing the banks outstanding performance in Official Language implementation, BoB in a statement said.

Hyderabad: Bank of Baroda (BoB) has been awarded second prize under Government of India’s ‘Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar’ Scheme for the year 2025–26. The award falls under the Headquarters category for nationalised banks and financial institutions with over 800 employees, recognizing the bank’s outstanding performance in Official Language implementation, BoB in a statement said.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, BoB, said “The award reflects our commitment to serving customers in the language they are most comfortable with.”


Bank of Baroda’s consistent excellence is highlighted by its track record under the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar, having secured the award for five consecutive years, comprising three First Prizes and two Second Prizes.

Several senior executives from BoB including Madhur Kumar, CGM, and Zonal Head, Mumbai Zone, Dr. Punit Kumar Mishra, Head, Official Language and Parliamentary Committees, Manish Kumar Sinha, Regional Head, Navi Mumbai Region and others were present.
