Siddipet: In a unique campaign promise, a barber in Ragothampally village of Dubbak mandal has vowed to provide free haircut and shaving services to all male voters in his ward for the next five years if his wife wins the election.
Srikanth, whose wife Shivani is contesting as ward member from the 6th ward, made the announcement through a video posted on his social media accounts soon after she filed her nomination on Thursday. The unusual assurance quickly became the talk of the village.
In his video message, Srikanth said their ward had remained backward for many years and promised to turn it into a model in terms of development if given the opportunity. He reiterated that he would stand by his commitment of free grooming services for all men in the ward throughout the five-year term, should Shivani be elected.
