Basketball tourney: NBA hoopsters win CCOB Independence cup

Balaji (8) and Maajid (10) excelled for NBA and Aashu (10) and Varma (10) played well for Martins.

Hyderabad: Nizam Basketball Academy edge past St. Martin’s 28-26 to win the CCOB Independence cup one-day basketball tournament that concluded at City College ground. At the half time Martins held a slender one-point lead (13 -12).

Balaji (8) and Maajid (10) excelled for NBA and Aashu (10) and Varma (10) played well for Martins.

In the first semifinals, Martins beat Airborne 31-21 while NBA defeated Loyola 32-22.
