Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police Commissioner M.Stephen Raveendra along with his family and families of other police personnel celebrated ‘Bathukamma’ at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate premises on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Raveendra said Bathukamma festival is a replica of the rich culture and tradition of Telangana.
“The festival is celebrated with fervor by the people of Telangana region since ages. It is also a unique festival where flowers are arranged by women representing a deity and prayer for life,” the commissioner said.
Balanagar DCP P.V.Padmaja, Women and Children Safety Wing DCP C.Anasuya and other women officials took part in the celebrations along with their families.
