Batik Balaiah laid to rest at his agriculture field in Siddipet

Siddipet: Renowned Batik Artist, Yasala Balaiah (81) has passed away at a hospital in Hyderabad while undergoing treatment for age related health issues. Balaiah was born in Ibrahimpur village near Siddipet town on August 25, 1939. Balaiah, a retired government teacher, had been staying with his son in Hyderabad for a few years. The body of Balaiah was brought to Siddipet on Wednesday morning. The Batik Artist was laid to rest at his agriculture field at Chowdaram village of Chinnakodur Mandal on Wednesday afternoon. Several people and senior citizens have participated in the funeral ceremony.

Finance Minister, T Harish Rao has sent a condolence message to the bereaved family members. Rao has said that Telangana has lost a great artist.


Noted writers, Nandini Sida Reddy, Despathi Srinivas, and others have sent condolence messages. Representatives of Manjira Rachayitala Sangham have participated in the funeral ceremony.
